In all cases surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free from any oil or contaminants. Thorough preparation is required to ensure maximum performance. Concrete should ideally be mechanically abraded to remove surface laitance. If this is not possible the surface should be treated with Acid Etch Cleaner and allowed to thoroughly dry before coating. Grease or oil should be removed with Master Bio Clean and the area washed off and allowed to dry. New concrete should be at least 28 days old with a moisture content of less than 6%.
Mixing Epoxy Smooth Flow
Mix the two components individually. Pour the smaller container into the larger and thoroughly mix for 3-5 minutes using an electric drill and mixing paddle, or wide bladed tool, working around the sides and base so all liquid is incorporated to ensure thorough and complete mixing. Once the product is an even consistency and uniform colour decant into a shallow tray ready for application.
Best results are obtained in ambient temperatures of 15°C or above. Pour the mixed Smooth Flow on to the prepared surface and spread evenly to the desired depth of 2-4mm using a notched squeegee. Within approximately 5-10 minutes, apply a spiked roller to remove air bubbles and repeat a few minutes later and thereafter until the air bubbles have gone.
